How to get a Canada PR visa as a Truck driver?
The NOC has designed how to improve its jobs by shifting to the TEER system. The transport Truck Drivers position is listed under TEER category 3, NOC code 73300.
The Truck drivers are eligible for the federal skilled worker’s program (FSWP); in some cases, the drivers who have previous work experience can also apply through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Minimum one year of full-time work experience in the position applied for
- The minimum language proficiency score of CLB 7
- The minimum points score of 67 is mandatory for selection
- Have sufficient funds to meet the expenses after relocation
- Should have completed the minimum educational qualification required for the job
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- At least one year of skilled technical education
- Should have the minimum language score requirement of CLB 5
- Intention to live outside the Quebec region
- The appellant should have previous work experience in Canada
Which PNP Programs can help in getting the Canada PR visa for Truck drivers?
British Columbia
Truck Drivers can apply to British Columbia through the Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled (ELSS). The Qualification requirements are –
- Minimum CLB Score 4 on the language test
- Full-time signed Job offer letter from a Canadian employer
- High school diploma as the least required qualification
- Two years of Work experience in long haul trucking in the last three years
Ontario
The Truck driver can apply through the In-Demand Skills program. The requirements for the same are
- A full-time job offer letter from a Canadian employer
- At least nine months of work experience in the last three years
- A minimum of CLB 4 in a language proficiency exam
- Should have a high school diploma
Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan offers The Long-Haul Truck Driver Project. The applicant should meet the requirements as follows:
- The applicant should have the Canadian Work Permit of at least six months with a positive LMIA
- The Trucking firm which has employed the applicant should be government approved.
- Have a full-time job offer for a permanent position
- The applicant should have a Class 1A license for the Saskatchewan
- Province needs to have a valid job approval letter
- Minimum language score of CLB 4
